A black and silver Hakata-ori necktie by Sanui Textile, woven with a vertical Kenjō tribute-pattern expression.
Pattern & color
- Pattern: Vertical Kenjō geometry draws from the tribute-pattern language of Hakata-ori: dokkō, hanazara, and stripes arranged for a formal woven rhythm.
- Meaning: Dokkō is a Buddhist ritual implement associated with cutting through worldly distraction; hanazara is a flower-offering vessel used in Buddhist worship. Together they give the pattern a ceremonial, protective character.
- Color: Black and silver read sharp, ceremonial, and understated from a distance, then reveal woven detail up close.
- Use: Best for ceremony, evening events, executive gifts, and monochrome tailoring.
